2011 Ponoka Men's Night Format
- Season will be split into 2 halves.
- 1st half will consist of 1 team scramble, 4 stroke play @ 2 special team events
- 2nd half will consist of a match play round robin with a playoff to determine the men's league winning team. There will be open play for the team members that are not participating in the match play each week (those not scheduled to play that week, tee off on the same hole as their team mates that are scheduled to play after they have teed off).
- 1st half events will be used to accumulate points to seed each team 1 thru 18 for the match play round robin
- Teams are awarded points 18 - 1 based on the team's placement in each week's event. With a bonus point awarded for each player that appears each week (so if 6 players show then you get 6 points plus the points for your teams place event in that week's event) to a maximum of 8 points. YOUR TEAM MUST FIELD 4 PLAYERS EACH WEEK. If you do not field 4 players then your team is awarded 0 points for that week's event, however your team will still be awarded points for the numbers of players that show up. (the more players that show up and play the better)
- For the stroke play events the 4 low net scores for your team will be totalled, with the low total winning each week's event. If you have 7 players play, the low 4 will be used. EVERY PLAYER MUST TURN IN A SCORE FOR THE STROKE PLAY EVENTS (complete the score card with first and last names and the team number on it).
For special events the team with the low score wins the event, with each team receiving its placement points.
- Points are accumulated throughout the 1st half to give each team a seeding for the match-play round robin.
- Player's handicaps will be established for the match play round robin by utilizing the men's league scores that are turned in from the stroke play events or have an up-to -date handicap on the RCGA computer system. The men's league committee has the right to assign or adjust any player's handicap.
- The match play round robin will be broken into 2 brackets with 9 teams in each bracket. the team's seeding will determine which bracket they are in. Each team will play 8 matches and have 1 bye through out the 2nd half. At the end of the round robin the top 2 teams from each bracket will play in a semi-final match. The top team from each bracket will play the 2nd place team from the opposing bracket with the winners playing each other for the men's league title.
